  • Fashion celebrities were enthralled with British designer Stella McCartney's blend of magic and illusion, as she eschewed an official catwalk show for any Matrix-style acrobatic display of models jumping from table to table and dancing on chairs.

Saturday marked McCartney's go back to London Fashion Week for your Autumn/Winter 2012 season, and luminaries including Rihanna, Kate Moss, and American Vogue editor Anna Wintour were available to offer their accolades.
"It was fab," Rihanna said, wearing a backless black dress along with a golden necklace along with her hair dyed blonde to fit.

Stella McCartney's collection featured marbled patterns and bright peacock colours of dark blue, turquoise and orange, together with floral prints and gathered puffy skirts.
"It's London, it's Britain. It's celebrating anything that is bold and irreverent about as being a British brand," McCartney told Reuters about her inspiration to the collection.
She said the product was much funkier than she had accomplished for the Olympics. "This is dress wear - a great deal different from the Olympics," she said.
McCartney's night started seemingly traditional which has a jazz band playing American standards in the elegant Mayfair hall decorated with globe lamps.

About 140 guests dined with McCartney over a vegetarian menu including farmhouse duck egg with Perigord black truffle, Saffron risotto, and Hyde Park sweet chestnut and Jerusalem artichoke veloute.
A packed house of journalists watched from the balcony overlooking the principle dining area prior to the plates were cleared away for the quick magic show by Dutch illusionist Hans Klok.
Fashion editor Alexa Chung was drafted in to the show, and levitated on the series of swords that have been peeled away one at a time until only 1 remained.

After what appeared to be the evening's highlight, models who was simply seeded among guests leapt up and spontaneously danced on tables and also on the floor with ballet lifts and twirls.
Models continued to recover from the woodwork, tiptoeing through the room over chairs as Rihanna clapped and swayed towards the music.

Later, the bottom opened up to dancing as Chung, wearing a black McCartney gown, and Descendants star Shailene Woodley stayed up with McCartney to dance the evening away.
Despite austere times, McCartney's collection chosen opulence and excitement, pairing an english sense of humour which has a "carry on" spirit.
